We are opposed to all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination. We adopt the Law Society’s model policy on Anti-Discrimination and seek to promote equality of treatment and opportunity in employment. We avoid unlawful discrimination in our dealings with each other, our clients and third parties. Selection for employment, promotion, training or any other benefit is on the basis of individual aptitude and ability. The Practice Manager is our Diversity Champion.

Diversity initiatives

We are continuing to focus our efforts on three major diversity initiatives:

1. encouraging the career aspirations of women and working parents at Hughes Jenkins.

2. introducing revised flexible working policies, practices and procedures.

3. firm-wide online diversity training.

Diversity statistics

We collect diversity data on an annual basis. The information collected from our surveys allows us to understand where we should be focusing our efforts and ultimately helps the development of a strong, independent, diverse and effective legal profession.
