Kelly Brown

Receptionist and Legal Assistant


Kelly is local to the Blackwood area and joined Hughes Jenkins in November 2015. She has previous experience of working in a legal office environment having worked for firms in Newbridge and Caerphilly.

Jemma Collins

Solicitor and Head of Conveyancing


Jemma is local to the Aberdare area and has previously worked in the Cynon Valley, Rhymney Valley and Caerphilly. Jemma qualified as a solicitor in January 2009 and has over fifteen years experience in conveyancing. Jemma handles all manner of residential conveyancing transactions on a daily basis for our clients.

Laura Cox

Receptionist and Legal Assistant


Laura is one of our Receptionists in the Aberdare office and is often the first point of contact for many clients. As the Receptionist she ensures all calls and queries are dealt with in a timely manner and assists as much as possible to resolve any issues.

Emily Clarke

Solicitor and Head of Wills and Probate


Emily, from Caerphilly, is a Solicitor and Head of our Wills and Probate Department. Emily specialises in elderly client matters such as advising client’s on Lasting Power of Attorney, Court of Protection matters, Wills and also Estate Administration.

Dewi Evans

Practice Manager


As Practice Manager Dewi, from Ton Pentre, is responsible for the smooth running of the firm. He is also the firms Compliance Office for Finance & Administration (COFA) and as such manages the financial operations of the firm.

Tracy Haddock

Legal Assistant


Tracy Haddock is the Legal Assistant Wills and Probate Department in our Blackwood office. Tracy, from Blackwood, joined Hughes Jenkins Solicitors in April 2015. She had previously worked 12 years in another local firm of solicitors as a Legal Secretary.

Graeme Hughes

Director, Solicitor and Head of Injury and Litigation


Graeme Hughes is a Solicitor and Director of Hughes Jenkins Solicitors. Graeme, who was educated at the University of Leicester and the Chester College of Law, co-founded the firm with Nigel Jenkins in September 2002 and has been integral in developing the business to the size it is today.

Diane James

Legal Assistant


Diane is based in our Aberdare office and has worked at Hughes Jenkins for 12 years. Her role is to assist on, and progress, a busy caseload and to also speak to new clients, providing them with quotes for property transactions.

Julia Jenkins

Receptionist & Legal Assistant


Julia is our longest serving member of staff, other than our Directors, having joined the firm in December 2003. She is married with two children from Merthyr Tydfil. Outside of work Julia enjoys spending time with her children and husband as well as watching rugby, keeping fit, reading and going to live shows.

Nigel Jenkins

Director, Solicitor and Head of Family and Matrimonial


A graduate of Cardiff University and the College of Law, Guildford, Nigel founded Hughes Jenkins Solicitors with Graeme Hughes and has since overseen the growth of the firm to its current size and geographical spread. In addition to his role as finance Director, Nigel is also the firm’s Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP).

Cath Thomas

Legal Assistant


Cath, from Aberdare, is among the longest serving members of staff at the firm and has worked for Hughes Jenkins Solicitors since 2005. She has vast experience of working in the legal industry having worked at a large firm for six years before beginning her current role.

Beth Wilson

Associate Legal Executive


Beth, from Rhydfelin, is an Associate Legal Executive within our Conveyancing department. She handles matters for clients at both our Blackwood and Aberdare offices, dealing with all aspects of the conveyancing process.
