Update on moving House

We at Hughes Jenkins are still working hard completing on a number of Conveyancing transactions. Provided the government guidelines are followed we are still permitted, at this point in time, to deal with sales and purchases. Please refer to the following link which will provide you with further information: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/government-advice-on-home-moving-during-the-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak. To minimise risk to all parties we are advising that exchange and completion takes place on the same date in the event that people’s circumstances change or the government guidelines and restrictions change.

Press coverage is indicating that mortgage offers are not being issued, but this has not been the case in our experience. We are still receiving mortgage offers on behalf of clients for both purchases and remortgages/equity releases. Mortgage companies are still lending and offering great deals.

Whilst we have heard that some companies are having issues with receiving searches again at Hughes Jenkins this is not our experience. Our search Agents are still processing our orders and returning search results.

Whilst some team members are working remotely you can still call our offices for information on our services. Our dedicated team are on hand to assist and provide you with information and quotes.

So if you are thinking of buying, selling, remortgaging or taking equity out of your property why not give us a call.
